Spring Bank Holiday Madness

Don’t you just LOVE May!

The days are getting longer, its stopped raining…well a little anyway, but more importantly there are 2 bank holidays, meaning tomorrow is yet another long weekend!

As the kids also start half-term, take a look at our guide to entertain the little ones and a few for the grown-ups too…

Big Picnic @ Hampton Court Palace: Spend the weekend eating cucumber sandwiches fit for royalty in the gardens of the Palace.  Pack your picnic hampers and join in the live entertainment and activities in the East Front Gardens..

Nearest Tube: Waterloo (Mainline to Hampton Court)

Sensational Butterflies @ The Natural History Museum:  A perfect place to kill a few hours or just simply avoid the rain.  The NHM has something for everyone.  Check out hundreds of live butterflies at their latest exhibition.  Open until 15 September.

Nearest Tube: South Kensington

One Direction @ Madame Tussauds:  For the older kids, why not pay a visit to the place that holds so many famous faces, all under one roof!  For a limited time only, you can get up close and personal with One Direction, well, their wax works at least, until they fly off on their round the world tour!

Nearest Tube: Baker Street

Animal Week @ Warner Bros Harry Potter Studio Tour:  For one week only, WB studios are offering fans the chance to meet the famous creatures from the hit movies.  Amongst others, you can meet the owls that played Hedwig and Pigwidgeon, plus one of the cats that shared the role of Mrs Norris.  You’ll need to book in advance though; tickets for the tours are disappearing, as if by magic.

Nearest Tube: Watford Junction, then shuttle bus.

Spa break @ Thermae Bath Spa:  Make a weekend of it and head out to Bath for a relaxing spa break.  This quaint city, surrounded by roman baths, hence the name, is the perfect little getaway.  Just 100 miles outside of London, lies Thermae Spa, the UK’s only natural hot spring.  The rooftop heated pool provides breath-taking views over Bath, a perfect setting for spending time with that someone special.

Nearest station: London Paddington (Mainline to Bath)

Matilda:  The story of a clever little girl who dares to change her destiny.  This show is one of the best in town! Take a look at Kirsty, from our relocation team’s, review here.

Nearest Tube: Leicester Square

One Man, 2 Guvnors: We saw this show last year and it still makes us giggle.  This slap-stick comedy is now not only a hit in the West-End but on Broadway too!  The National Theatre are also releasing 150 tickets per performance for just £12 a seat!  A true bargain.

Nearest Tube: Piccadilly Circus

Wicked: One of London’s longest running shows and something our Managing Director, Christine, has seen a total of 5 times!  The untold story of the Witches of OZ is mind-blowing and a definite MUST SEE!

Nearest Tube: Victoria

Whatever you decide to do, have a great weekend!
