When relocating offices, it’s important not to neglect the human factor
How exactly will the move affect the lives of key members of the team? How do they feel about the move? How can the transition be managed so that it’s made as easy as it can be for all the families involved?
The key is to make everyone in your team feel well supported throughout the transition. So many employers do this part badly, when the resulting damage can be so easily avoided.
At Saunders 1865, we talk all the time about the vital importance of providing every team member with a VIP-level relocation support experience. It all starts with outsourcing to relocation experts who communicate brilliantly. At its most basic, that involves listening to the concerns of every team member and exploring what can be done to alleviate those concerns.
Make them feel they are highly valued and that you’re concerned about their needs.
Using a VIP relocation expert to act as a single point of contact for all team members will pay huge dividends.
