Change happens. But how you manage change can impact negatively on your organisation and undo great gains. If mismanaged, it can have long-term consequences which will affect customer confidence and staff morale – and ultimately your success.
In the world of work, the difficulty lies in knowing when to act in managing change. Too soon may result in being told the adage: “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it”.
Acting too late though – or not at all – may cause far greater damage.
If we can listen to those who’ve trodden a similar path beforehand and benefit from the lessons they’ve learned through experience, we’ll be going a long way to minimising unnecessary challenges.
With that in mind, we need to think about change that makes you better than you were before. Not just reacting to change but instead initiating change – organisational development and succeeding in ….. Delivering transformational change.
Here’s a new booklet from Acas London on managing change that we recommend you read.
