If you’re staying in the UK this half term break and are still looking for things to do, we have a few suggestions for you.
In London, tour the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park by foot or boat! You will experience the modern day landscape of the park and learn about the success stories of the 2012 Olympics. By foot you can see the three most iconic venues in the Park; the London Aquatics Centre, the Copper Box and the Lee Valley Velopark.
However, if you want to see the park from a different perspective, try the boat tour. This will allow you to see the venues from the river while travelling through parklands.
Alternatively, you could head over to the Imperial War Museum for their Poppy Field exhibit. This differs from the one at the Tower of London. Here you will be able to make your own poppy and add it to the poppy field at the museum.
If you want to venture further afield, go to the beautiful Roman city of Bath where the museums and parks will be hosting a Heritage Open Week. You will be able to participate in a diverse number of events in addition to experiencing the amazing history of this unique city. Stargaze at the Herschel Museum of Astronomy, hike along the Halloween Trail at Prior Park, or go see the Magic Lantern Show at the American Museum.
