The UK’s new Right to Rent Law, came into effect on 1 February 2016, and it is changing the way businesses are handling their global relocations to the UK.
Anyone seeking to rent a property in the UK must be ready to pass the Landlord’s immigration status check before they are allowed into the home. The original documents for every adult occupier must be inspected, so everyone has to be ready with all the right paperwork.
It’s not so easy to comply. Careful planning is required to make sure all ducks are in a row – to avoid the embarrassment and wasted costs associated with an occupier not passing the Landlord’s test.
