Team Recommendation for Expats: Alternative London Tour
Just like getting to know a person, getting to know London means getting to know all sides of the city. There’s the side of London that it shows the world: Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, the London Eye…you know the typical skyline images of postcards and advertisements.
But London has a different, quirkier side, and you can get to know it quicker this weekend (or another) by going on a free walking tour of Alternative London. Not only do you get in a good healthy walk (1.5-2 hours), but you’ll be lead around Brick Lane and Shoreditch by a local East London resident with first hand insight about London’s street art and evolving culture. In fact, no two tours are quite the same! Tour guides add their own passions and interests to their walks, as well as updating their walks as the alternative London scene changes.
Just make sure to dress according to the weather!
