Drake Moving to London to Star in TV Drama Top Boy

Will He Make Mayfair His London Home?

Canadian hip hop artist Drake is moving to London to star in popular series Top Boy.  The rapper has been a fan of the show for some time, acquiring the rights after Channel 4 dropped the series in 2013.  Top Boy was one of Channel 4's greatest original drama productions of the last decade, but was cancelled after only two seasons.  Drake’s reboot of the show will be a welcomed one for its fans.

According to the show's lead star Ashley Walters, Drake met with producers at the end of March and is in talks to star in his own role.  The hitmaker is no stranger to acting and is best known for his role as Jimmy Brooks in Canadian TV series Degrassi: The Next Generation.  In January, he revealed his plans to focus on his acting career again following the end of his Boy Meets World Tour, which wrapped up in March.

Drake spent a lot of time in London this past winter, performing over 10 dates in London and the UK.  He’s often spied dining at his favourite restaurant Nobu on Berkeley Street when he’s in town.  We can’t help but wonder if he will make Mayfair his London home?  If so, rest assured he’d use a VIP relocation service like Saunders 1865 to handle all of the home finding and settling in issues with the utmost discretion.
