Credit Suisse' Dutch Team Moves to London

More Post-Brexit Companies Bucking the Trend

Credit Suisse, the Swiss bank, is moving their entire Dutch investment banking team from Amsterdam to London.  The move to expected to allow the team to gain more experience working across broader industry and business groups, specifically groups working on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and equity capital market (ECM) transactions.

Credit Suisse executives noted that they are seeking to improve efficiency and profitability with the change.  In spite of Brexit, firms are continuing to choose to restructure by bringing teams together under the umbrella of banking expertise in the United Kingdom.

There will continue to be a smaller staff team in Amsterdam that will service local clients in the region as well as the investment and wealth management businesses.

Maarten Swart, Credit Suisse’s Head of Investment Banking for the Netherlands, will continue to work between both cities.
