In case our recent article on celebrity homes on the market got you thinking, we’ve got a few more for you to consider. This week we’re focused on UK celebrity homes in the countryside including the Cotswolds, Sussex and Hertfordshire.
Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, the designer and TV personality, is selling Roberts House, his Cotswold home. Llewelyn-Bowen is opting to build a more modern home where he can grow old with his wife Jackie, putting his Grade II, 17th century pile on the market. The six-bedroom house has a bookcase which is in fact a door, stone lions guarding its entrance, over two acres of garden, and is on the market for £1.75 million with Strutt & Parker.
While Llewelyn-Bowen lived in his home for many years with his family, actress Kate Winslet is parting with a quite recent acquisition. Just a year after buying her Sussex countryside property, Winslet has put the property back on the market after the local parish rejected her request to put up high fences around the property. Winslet wanted the fences to preserve her family’s privacy, especially that of her two children. The council felt that the fences would be incongruous with the rural surroundings, so Winslet has relinquished the nearly six acre property back on to the market. The 12th century home is unlisted, but on a private list at a local vendor for about £2.3 million.
To wrap things up, Tulisa’s Hertfordshire property is also up for grabs. The star made her fortune as a British singer-songwriter, formerly part of N-Dubz and an X-Factor judge. The home has five bedroom suites, an indoor pool complex, cinema, gym, and more. The home is about 10,000 square feet, a Georgian style detached residence and on the market for £4.5 million. Additionally, it has a two acre garden, sauna, and fantastic countryside views.
